Microsoft Outlook.com Issues Resoloved

skydiveMicrosoft states that Outlook.com and Skydive outages are resolved.  Microsoft has restored access to all effective accounts. The outage was a result of the failure to caching service that interfaces with Smartphones and devices using Exchange ActiveSync.  Microsoft temporarily blocked access via Exchange ActiveSync to stabilize the outages which allowed them to restore and access Outlook.com and SkyDrive.

Users devices received errors and they continuously tried to connect to Microsoft’s services. Microsoft could not handle the influx of traffic resulting in some users not being about to access their Outlook.com email and unable to share their SkyDrive files via email.

Microsoft Buys Yammer

Microsoft and Yammer confirm that MS will purchase the Enterprise Social Media Network for $1.2 Billion.

Yammer user base is 5 billion. Yammer will remain a standalone product and will be integrated with MS Office 365, MS Dynamics for ERP and CRM software, Skype VoIP.

Yammer service is used by 85% of Fortune 500 companies employees.

Oprah’s Lifeclass Impacts Social Media

Oprah is airing 6 weeks of the Lifeclass Tour, Monday at 8pm ET/7pm CT to 10pm ET/9pm CT.  Today is the 3rd week of the Lifeclass Tour.

Oprah incorporates her Lifeclass Tour which airs on her network, OWN TV to Facebook, Twitter, and Skype.  Oprah encourage views and members of the audience to interact live to discuss the topics in real-time.

Last week Tony Robbins was the featured guess; Tony Robbins worked with viewers to move past there fears. There were approximately 2.6 million viewers from 149 countries, 414,780 mentions on Facebook, over 29,000 viewers and 3,026 answers posted on the Lifeclass wall on oprah.com.
