Free In-Flight Facebook

Ford partner with Gogo Inflight internet to promote the Ford 2011 Explorer.  In the month of February seven airlines will offer free access to Facebook on North American flights.  The 7 airlines are: North American flight on the following airlines:  Air Tran, Alaska, American, Delta, United, US and Virgin America.

To access the complimentary in-flight facebook wait until the announcement, it is safe to use electronic devices then select the Gogo wireless network on your laptop or mobile device, open your browser and click on Ford/Facebook banner or Click Here.

Dell Venue Pro Batteries Venue Pro

Dell Venue Pro Smartphones shipped last week had Wi-Fi issues and mislabeled Batteries. 

Some Dell Venue Pro Smartphones batteries were labeled Engineering Samples; the batteries shipped were the correct battery the error was the battery label .

Some of the devices also could not connect to protect Wi-Fi networks due to a software glitch.  Anyone who purchased this device on Nov. 8 or 9 at the Microsoft store can return the device and exchange for a new device.  New Dell Venue Pro Smartphones will be available around Nov 18.

Apple Acknowledge iPad Issue

Users report that they were having problems connecting to the internet if their iPad isn’t close to the router.

Apple issued the following on their website,”The  iPad may not automatically rejoin a known Wi-Fi network after restart or waking from sleep,” 

This can occur with some third-party Wi-Fi routers that are dual-band capable when:

  • Using the same network name for each network
  • Using different security settings for each network

Apple suggest the following resolution on their website:

  • Create separate Wi-Fi network names to identify each band.
  • Ensure that both networks use the same security type (WEP, WPA, WPA2)

If you still have problems, reset your network settings: Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
