Free Microsoft Products For Employees

Steve Ballmer revealed at Microsoft’s annual employee meeting that Microsoft will give it employees a new Surface RT Tablet to use at home and work, A new WindowsPC (Desktop, Laptop, Ultrabook, or Tablet) and a Windows Phone 8 device to use at home or work.  Employees are calling this the “Oprah Treatment”.

The more than 90,000 full-time employees direct employees (known as “Blue Badges”) will receive the tablet and phone by late December.

Qosmio F755 – Toshiba 3D Glasses Free Notebook

Toshiba will be the 1st notebook manufacture to debut a glasses free 3D notebook.  The Qosmio F755 will debut on Aug 16 in the US.

The Qosmio F755 features are listed below:

  • Intel Core i7 Processor
  • Nvidia GeForce GT 540M Graphic Card
  • 750GB Hard Drive
  • Blu-Ray Drive
  • Harman-Kardon Speakers
  • 6GB RAM
  • 2D and 3D content on the screen simultaneously

HP Battery Recall

HP is issuing a voluntary battery recall on laptops that were produced July 2007 – May 2008.  HP has recalled 54,000 batteries, this is a total of 120,000 batteries in a year.
The batteries generate enough heat to spark a fire and cause significant injuries.
