I went to the AT&T store today to see the Z10. The Z10 launched in the U.S. on Friday and AT&T is the 1st carrier to sell the BlackBerry Z10.
Upon entering the AT&T store we were greeted, I did a visual of the store, my eye panned north and south, looking for the Z10. I didn’t see any promo signs or displays for BlackBerry or the z10. Nora the very nice and knowledgeable consultant pointed us to the SE corner of the store, next to a very large Samsung sign. We asked where are the Z10 promo signs? In a very polite and almost apologetically tone, she said they didn’t have any.
BlackBerry needs visual promo signs or displays in the store to let customers or potential customers know that the Z10 is here. Blackberry needs a promo sign or display with a picture of the z10 with the caption “I’m Here, I’m Here.”
Finally, I had the Z10 in hand, it was everything I expected and more. It was lighter and thinner then I expected, it just flowed. I will be buying a new BlackBerry 10 smartphone however, I’m waiting for the Q10 to launch. I’ve had the Curve 8310, Bold 9000, and Torch 9800, all with qwerty keyboards, and the Bold 9000 is the ultimate qwerty device. I’m leaning towards the Q10 because of the keyboard but I did like the Z10 virtual keyboard very much. My Z10 typing experience was very good, I did not have any complaints. I will make my final decision after the Q10 launch.
Have any of you experienced the lack of Z10 advertisement in the AT&T stores? Also let me know if bought the Z10 or planning on buying the Z10.
I think that BlackBerry should send BBMs to all U.S. Customers, saying that the “Z10 is Here”, they should also ask BB users to send a BBM, text, or email to their contacts telling them that the Z10 is available.
There are numerous reports that the wait is almost over, AT&T will be the 1st U.S. carrier to launch BlackBerry Z10. Earlier AT&T stated it would launch the Z10 in late March but many are now saying it will be March 15. Hopefully all the reports are correct! We’ll keep you updated.
