EasyJet Trails

EasyJet Trails

European Budget Airline EasyJet adds mobile check-ins and boarding passes. The app is available for Android and iOS. The  iOS app includes Passbook support for iPhone owners running iOS6 and above.  EasyJet joins United Airlines, Lufthansa, and American Airlines in offering Passbook support to iOS devices.

The EasyJet app will be a beta in 6 airports: Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Manchester, Nice, Southend and Stensted.  Fliers can use mobile boarding passes at the bag drop desks, security checkpoints and gate, and boarding the aircraft.  After your boarding pass is downloaded to your device, it does not have to connect to a network.

EasyJet opted-out of the check-in desks; instead they ask fliers to check-in with the mobile app or online before arriving at the airport.  The check-in desk is now a quicker bag drop area.
