Apple admitted the security attack to most of their employees and the vulnerability in Mac OS X. This malware was designed to attack Mac computers and it spread through a website for software developers.
This is the widest known cyber-attacks targeting Apple computers that are used by corporations. Hackers have traditionally forced on attacking Windows OS, however over the past couple of years attacks have turned towards Apple as the company gains market share.
Apple released the following statement: “Java for OS X 2013-001 delivers improved security, reliability, and compatibility for Java SE 6. Java for OS X 2013-001 supersedes all previous versions of Java for OS X.”
Steve Wozniak Apple’s Co-Founder said that the iPhone is “somewhat behind” in smartphone features. Wozniak said, “Currently we are in my opinion somewhat behind with features in the smartphone business.” He also said that other brands have caught up and that Samsung is their biggest competitor and are making great products.
Apple released software update iOS 6.1 for iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touch.
iOS 6.1 will add LTE capabilities to 36 additional iPhone carriers and 23 additional iPad carriers globally. The software update will increase data downloads, streaming, and browsing in some networks internationally and a few of the small U.S. carriers.
