BlackBerry PlayBook

Today BestBuy dropped the price on the PlayBook $200.  I have been contemplating buying a tablet and since I have the BlackBerry Torch 9800 I decided to just pick up a 16 GB BlackBerry PlayBook tablet.

BestBuy is selling the 16GB for $299.99, 32GB $399.99 and 64GB $499.99.

When I arrived at  BestBuy I went to the computer department and saw all the tablets except for the PlayBook, I saw a sign for the 64GB but there weren’t any Playbooks on display.  I was told go to the mobile department with the smartphones.

The mobile department had the 16GB priced at $499.99, when I informed the sales guy of the $299.99 price he was not aware of it.  He verified the price and was shocked the PlayBooks were reduced $200. There was only 1, 16GB in stock, and I purchased it.

If you decide to pick one up and it isn’t priced correctly just have the sales person verify the price so you can save $200 also. I’ll give a review on it once I’m able to check it out completely.

Finally, I didn’t mention that  the $200 was an instant rebate, my final cost was $299.99 plus tax.
