Mozilla (Firefox) Block Microsoft Add-Ons

Firefox blocked MS add-ons because of vulnerabilities. CVE-2009-2529 allows a Firefox user to be affected if they visit a malicious website. 

MS says that Firefox users have 2 options.  The 1st option is to download MS patch to protect against the vulnerability.  The other option is to have Firefox users, who have .NET Framework 3.5 installed to disable the add-on by following these steps:  Tools – Add-ons- Plugins – Windows Presentation Foundation – then click Disable.

Mozilla Firefox reaches 1 Billion Downloads of its Browser!!!

Since November 9, 2004, Mozilla’s Firefox internet browser has grown from a caterpillar into a butterfly. Firefox now amasses 32% of the internet browser market, a far cry from 1%, just five years ago. Today, I congratulate Mozilla for their 1 billionth download of Firefox! YouTube will no longer support Internet Explorer 6

Youtube is telling users of Internet Explorer 6, that they will need to update their browsers to IE8. Another option is to download the newest releases of Firefox and Google Chrome. Believe it or not 17% of online users are using IE6. Its a good idea to update your browser anyway to prevent viruses and spyware from attacking your computer.
