Apple released software update iOS 6.1 for iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touch.
iOS 6.1 will add LTE capabilities to 36 additional iPhone carriers and 23 additional iPad carriers globally. The software update will increase data downloads, streaming, and browsing in some networks internationally and a few of the small U.S. carriers.

Apple products are finally coming to T-Mobile. T-Mobile parent company Deutsche Telekom revealed that T-Mobile USA “has entered into an agreement with Apple to bring products to the market in 2013,” meaning that the largest carrier in the United States that didn’t offer the iPhone has now filled its most glaring product hole.
The Justice Department filed an antitrust suit against Apple and Publishers over e-book price fixing. The five major publishers included in this antitrust suit are: Hachette, HarperCollins, Macmillan, Simon & Schuster and Penguin.
The Justice Department have investigated how Apple and publishers fixed e-book pricing and limit retail price competition on the iPad since it launched in 2010.
In the lawsuit filed today the Justice Department said, the price fixing has caused e-book consumers to pay “tens of million of dollars more for e-books than that they otherwise would paid.”
Three publishers agreed to settle with the Justice Department. The settlement terms were not disclosed for the settlement for New’s Corp HarperCollins Publishers Inc, CBS Corp’s Simon & Schuster Inc, and Lagardere SCA’s Hachette Book Group.
