E-Books Outselling Hardcovers

Amazon reports that for the past 3 months sales for the Kindle have outsold hardcover books.  Amazon also report that for every 100 Hardcover book sold they sell 143 Kindle books.

E-Books are getting very popular especially with recent price cuts for all e-readers (Kindle, Nook, and Sony); price cuts are listed on our July 6 post.  Are you ready to toss your hardcover for an e-reader?

Kindle Get Longer Battery Life

Amazon has increased Kindles battery life 85%, a single charge can last a week.  The increase addressed concerns from consumers.

A native PDF reader was also added to the e-reader device.  This feature will allow users to store and display documents on the Kindle.

E-Readers Are Hot Christmas Item

If you have the Barnes & Nobles Nook on your Christmas list, you will not receive it for Christmas.  B & N said that the  Nook is sold out until after Jan. 4 2010.

Sony said that some of their e-readers the Daily Edition may not arrive for Christmas.

Amazon Kindles are available for Christmas delivery as of today.  They are now available for Canada delivery, so you may want to place your order soon!!

Amazon announced that Kindle software will be available for PCs at the Win 7 launch. Kindle PC will be a New and FREE application.  This app will allow PC users to enjoy their books on their computers.  Kindle PC will be compatible with Win 7, Vista,  and XP.  It will also be capable of handling Win 7 touch technology.
